I found this game a long time ago and I just remembered it so I decided to share it with the tumblr fandom because it’s fun!

How to find your Hunger Games name:

1) Write down the second syllable of your middle name.

  • If you do not have a middle name - you should use the second syllable of your firstname.
  • If your middle name is only one syllable, you may use the second syllable of your lastname.
  • If none of your names have more than one syllable, you may use any syllable you like from Tikki-Tikki-Tembo-No-Sa-Rembo-Chari-Bari-Ruchi-Pip-Peri-Pembo’s name.

2) Write down the name of a plant, type of diamond, or type of weather. (This originally just said plant but I thought that was too boring— everyone’s name would have a plant so I added type of diamond or weather).

3) If you are a female above the age of 30, write down the word “less.” If you are a female under the age of 30, write down the word “met.” If you are a man of any age, write down the word “petra.”

4) Write down the first initial of the last name of your favorite English teacher from school.

5) Write down one simple action verb (i.e. “run,” “jump,” etc)

Now, get your results!

Combine the answer from #1 with the answer from #3. That is your first name.

Your middle initial is the answer to #4.

Your last name is your answer to #5 with your answer to #2 added to the end.

I don’t undserstand the people who say they hate Katniss but liked and are fans of The Hunger Games.

Katniss narrated the entire story in first person. If you liked the books- you liked her.

They are SO close to their next goal!!!

Here is why I believe Armie is perfect for Finnick, and why I campaign for him-

  • Look wise, he is perfect. Finnick needs to look like a masterpiece. Armie has that. He is VERY tall, his voice is endearing, and he looks like a prince!- plus HE LOOKS LIKE A MAN. I’ve seen too many people wanting to cast people who can pass as high schoolers for Finnick, which will not do. Especially when Jennifer already looks a bit old.
  • He is the perfect age!!! Finnick is 24, Armie is 25!
  • HE CAN ACT. He has a Screen Actors Guild nomination, and has been in major movies. There is no denying his talent.
  • His charisma is through the roof. He is hilarious, charming, and could pull off Finnick’s dialogue effortlessly. Seriously, I DARE you to watch an Armie Hammer interview and not fall in love with him.
  • BONUS: He grew up in the Caymen Islands fishing for food, AND he has said in an interview HE. TIES. KNOTS. This man IS Finnick.

I hope I could convince at least one person why Armie is perfection. Please stop by the Facebook page and give them a “like”!

Wow. I don’t even know how to express how much you all as a fandom mean to me. There is no adjective strong enough. You guys will never know how much you all mean to me. I consider all of you my friends. I love each and every one of you. Thank you thank you thank you thank you for being here. If it wasn’t for the tumblr fandom I’d have nobody to fangirl or talk about this stuff with.

I remember when Jennifer Lawrence got cast as Katniss last March, and it apparently was a huge deal. That is how I found out about The Hunger Games. Later on one of my friends told me to read it. And finally at the end of May 2011, after being on my reading list for months- I picked it up. And I haven’t look back since. I immediately devoured them and joined The Hunger Games’ online community, then in August made this blog. Which has honestly changed my life.

Soon news kept rolling in. From leaked set pictures, to the agony of waiting to see a blond Josh Hutcherson in character as Peeta, to the first stills, to calling Lionsgate “Trollsgate” because they refused to give us footage, to stalking the cast, to watching the entire sucky VMA’s with you all just to see the teaser, to then skipping school to see the big trailer two months later, to Seneca Crane’s beard obsession, to making in to the double digits of the countdown, to making it to 2012- the year we dubbed as “The Year of the Hunger Games”, to all the funny interviews, stills, tv spots, and clips that got released, and yes- even to the fighting- this journey leading up to the movie has been INCREDIBLE. Truly.

I consider you guys my best friends. I have more inside jokes with all the thousands of you than I do with anyone I know in real life. From Seneca’ Beard, to Jack Quaid obsessions, to Josh Huctherson’s obsession with the cave scene, to Jennifer Lawrence being Queen of the Derp, to livin’ it up, and our cinnasational catostrophic glimmerous puns. You guys make me smile, and laugh everyday. I am continuously asked why I am laughing at my computer screen. And it is because you all here on tumblr. So thank you for that.

So it’s here guys. The moment we have been waiting months and months for. I don’t know how to explain my feelings. To be honest- it is a bit bittersweet, because after the movie nothing will go back to before. Our fandom will explode, the books will never be read the same, and there will be no more waiting and anticipation. As strange as it sounds- I am going to miss waiting for the movie. I am going to miss the countdowns. I am both nervous, and excited, and sad. But one thing I know for sure it that this movie is going to be phenomenal. We as fans are so wildly lucky to have people who care so much about the source material making these movies. Our cast is flawless, Gary Ross is a gift from the Heavens, and of course- the Goddess, the Queen Suzanne Collins could never be thanked enough.

One thing I hope is that we all go into this movie with an open mind. Know that things are going to change- and know it may not be a bad thing. Suzanne Collins was greatly involved, so try not to get too upset if something is new or changed.

I was also recently re-reading The Hunger Games these past few days before the movie. All the emotions that were there the first time I read it were still there, even though I know what will happen. So remember guys- we always have the books. That is where our love stems from.

Now as for what I am excited for?! Well, everything. I can’t pinpoint one thing. From big things like the Reaping, the bread scene, interviews, the Cornucopia, Rue’s death, the cave, them becoming victors- to little things like details, such as seeing miners in District 12, seeing Effie’s outfits, and Foxface scurry through the Arena. I am DYING to see the mutts. Especially the Tracker Jacker scene because in the book you don’t know what is real and what is hallucinations. Also, my favorite scene from the book- The Feast. Thresh sparing Katniss’ life is one of the most powerful and heroic things of the entire trilogy.

Now I am rambling, but I am going to conclude. Overall-these last months and months have been some of the best of my life. No joke. It is surreal to me that this is happening. And I know a ton of people think I am crazy- including my parents and friends from school who think all this is dumb and say “it’s just a story”. But it isn’t for me. It means so much to me. I have never read something that has impacted and hit me so hard before.

So thank you guys again. Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you, THANK YOU. I cannot say it enough. I would be lost without you guys. Everyone, enjoy this moment. Savor it. I can’t belive this journey we have gone on is comign to a close… I can’t wait to do this all over again with Catching Fire. ;)

I love you guys, thank you. I am about to cry as I write this.

Liv it up tonight. You all are Marvelous.
