If you think The Hunger Games movies are whitewashed you clearly don’t understand the definition of “white washing”.
The Hunger Games dvd is worth it for the behind the scenes alone. Seriously blown away.
Do you know how much I would give for them to have included the bit where Katniss is about to shoot Peeta when she thinks he’s going to use his knife to hurt her, and instead he throws it into the lake? So much.
The Hunger Games movie wasn’t what it could have been, because they tried to make it so much about The Hunger Games, not about the actual character’s themselves. It’s where they failed.
That the biggest load of crap i’ve ever heard about this movie.

Gary Ross did anything but that. He kept it so close to the novel and DID NOT make it about The Hunger Games as a spectacle. He made it SO MUCH about the characters, like how could you even say that he dismissed the characters depth just because the didn’t include that small little part. Yeah, i wish it was included too- but Gary Ross did NOT make this movie about The Hunger Games itself.

I found this game a long time ago and I just remembered it so I decided to share it with the tumblr fandom because it’s fun!
How to find your Hunger Games name:
1) Write down the second syllable of your middle name.
- If you do not have a middle name - you should use the second syllable of your firstname.
- If your middle name is only one syllable, you may use the second syllable of your lastname.
- If none of your names have more than one syllable, you may use any syllable you like from Tikki-Tikki-Tembo-No-Sa-Rembo-Chari-Bari-Ruchi-Pip-Peri-Pembo’s name.
2) Write down the name of a plant, type of diamond, or type of weather. (This originally just said plant but I thought that was too boring— everyone’s name would have a plant so I added type of diamond or weather).
3) If you are a female above the age of 30, write down the word “less.” If you are a female under the age of 30, write down the word “met.” If you are a man of any age, write down the word “petra.”
4) Write down the first initial of the last name of your favorite English teacher from school.
5) Write down one simple action verb (i.e. “run,” “jump,” etc)
Now, get your results!
Combine the answer from #1 with the answer from #3. That is your first name.
Your middle initial is the answer to #4.
Your last name is your answer to #5 with your answer to #2 added to the end.
