Rue and Katniss’ relationship was rushed. They did not have as much bonding time and dialogue as they did in the books. Yes, Rue’s death was sad, and yes, I did cry- but I feel it would have been even MORE powerful if they had just a TAD more “moments” together, you know? I wanted to hear their conversation of them planning to blow up the foods. I was a tad disappointed that that was never verbally addressed. But I understand why all of this happened- time. It was too much in the books as oppose to how it would be in a movie, but I think Gary Ross did a good job with what restraints he had. And I still felt that what was there and acting in those scenes was AMAZING, and little Amandla is the most precious thing to walk the planet. I’m kinda over it, I understand why it had to happen.
