Armie’s schedule for this coming autumn is conflicting with the scheduled time in which Catching Fire is slated to begin production (late August). Do we give up hope? We know that people back out of doing projects all the time, that’s where the word “re-cast” has come from, but is Armie the type who would back out of a project — and would he back out of a juggernaut like Cut Bank for Finnick Odair? Since it’s been written up that he’s doing Cut Bank, do we think Lionsgate would still reach out to his people and ask if he’s interested, or will they just ignore the fan fervor for him, as well as how screamingly perfect he’s for the role in almost every single way? Yesterday it was written that his star is rising, and that he may not want to pursue roles where he’s not the principle star, but now today with the news of Cut Bank we know he’s not apposed to ensemble casts, he will not be the star of Cut Bank as far as I know — he would be part of it though.
I wanted to start a letter writing/ video message/ e-letter writing/ art campaign, but now I don’t know if it would do anything. I need feed back, I need people to say not to give up, I need Armie to play Finnick Odair.
Tell me what you think in notes, I will read them all.
I say keep plugging! There is always hope and we have come so far in the campaign.
Effie sat in a chair, gently caressing her new lover. After years of loneliness being District 12's scort, she had finally found some support and understanding. For the very first time, she felt completely happy, because not only she had some new - and fabulous - new wigs, but she didn't have to be by herself anymore. "I love you, mahogany table", she whispered, leaning foward to kiss the furniture.
As many of you know- or at least SHOULD know if you follow me- I am a RABID Armie for Finnick campaigner.
And Armie Hammer just got cast in a role that’s about to shoot this fall. Though I am happy for him, it makes me sad because it makes him getting Finnick a further possibility.
But who knows. There is always hope. I am an optimist. Maybe if he got offered Finnick he would drop out, he’d be dumb not to- THG is a ginormous franchise. Jennifer Lawrence dropped out of Savages for THG. Actors do it all the time. So yes. That’s my optimist talking.
